This month was hard to pick just one product that we are loving and we have kind of cheated and chosen a collection rather than one individual product!
‘Treat’ is a new collection by mii, and contains two eye colour crayons, lip lover lipstick, two super gloss lip glosses and an uplifting cheek colour. All of which are very natural and perfect for the current trend of naturels at the moment! As well as perfect for bridal makeup.
The two new eye colour crayons, are in very pretty neutral colours, one is a light champagne pink shade (07 – Sorbet), which looks lovely on the lid on its own or used to highlight the eye in a more dramatic look. The second is a bronze shade that would be great transitional colour for a day-to-night look. The shadows are in a creamy formula in a crayon which glides effortlessly over the lid and can be applied straight from the bullet to the eye, ready to go but and can gently blended with the finger or blending brush. Both shades a very buildable and can be added to or a dark dramatic look, hence it being perfect if you don’t have time to redo your makeup for a dinner or night out. You can simply apply more and blend for a perfect look. The shades are perfect for holiday, as they require little effort and with a tan would look stunning. The two shades also go perfectly together, with Sorbet, the lighter pinky shade all over the lid and oyster blended into the crease. These are a must have this spring/summer.
The new lip lover is a petal pink shade (09 – Crave) which looks lovely as a everyday natural pink colour, and perfect for the spring to summer transition. The formula is very moisturising on the lips and is packed with vitamins to help condition the lips too. It has a light way feel, and does not leave the lips dry or flaky. The colour is long lasting on the lips and it tints the lips, so it does not fade patchy but leaves a lovely colour on the lips. Perfect handbag staple or bridal lip colour!
Something slightly different for mii, but it defiantly a current trend is the glossy lips. There are two shades, one is clear gloss (01 – Crystal) which can be applied on top of a lipstick to give beautiful gloss to the lips. The formula is not too sticky on the lips and has a sweet scent which isn’t overpowering. The second is a berry pink (02 – Berry twist) and when applied can be sheared out for a natural tint to the lips of applied a few thin coats for a more prominent colour. It has fine glitter running through it but it doesn’t look obvious on the lips, instead it just catches the light and highlights the lips. It is long lasting and is enriched with vitamins A and E, which softens and smooths the lips. This again is a perfect holiday staple, as the berry would look beautiful on sun kissed skin, whether you wear it alone or over the top of a lipstick.
The blush, like other mii formulas is a light powder which easily glides on the skin for a natural look. It is light pink (01 – Kissed), and this can sometimes be daunting as people can be nervous at looking too pink. But this powder is pigmented, and as it is so light it is hard to go overboard and add to much. It sits on the skin beautiful and doesn’t feel or look cakey when added to foundation. It just adds a simple flush to the skin. It is best applied to the apples of the check for a subtle glow.
As you can tell we LOVE this collection and we hope you will too! Feel free to come into the salon to have a look or to purchase!
